Can I still play games with gold after Xbox Live expires?
The 'Games with Gold' titles require a standard Xbox Live subscription to work. When you end Ultimate and go back to standard Gold they will continue to work as they did before. Any games you download from Game Pass will no longer be playable.
Do you own Xbox Gold games forever?
Games with Gold that were given out from the 360 are yours to keep. Xbox One Games with Gold require that you have an active Gold (Core) or Ultimate subscription to continue to access them for free.
What happens when Xbox Gold ends?
If you claim the games, you'll be able to play them and others you've grabbed from the Games with Gold program as long as you have an Xbox Game Pass Core or Ultimate subscription. Xbox Live Gold will be discontinued on September 1st, and current subscribers will be moved to Xbox Game Pass Core on September 14th.
Can you still play games after Xbox Game Pass expires?
Games may exit the catalog after a period of time. Once a game leaves the Xbox Game Pass catalog, you'll need to purchase a digital copy from the Xbox app for Windows or the Microsoft Store, play from a disc, or obtain another form of entitlement to continue playing the game.
