Does SharePlay work without FaceTime?
At first, we looked to connect those far away through meaningful and fun experiences in your apps. This is why, when we first created SharePlay, we focused the experience of SharePlay in FaceTime calls. From there, we expanded SharePlay so that it could be used with or without a call with SharePlay via Messages.
Can you SharePlay on a phone call?
On an iPhone that meets the minimum system requirements, you can start a FaceTime call in the Music app (or other supported music app) and use SharePlay to share the music in sync with others on the call. Each person can use the music controls to pause, rewind, fast-forward, or scrub to a different part of the song.
Does SharePlay work automatically?
The first time you use SharePlay, you'll see a notification asking if you want to SharePlay the content. Select “SharePlay.” The next time you use SharePlay, this notification will not appear, and will automatically default to the “SharePlay” selection. Your SharePlay session will start.
How does SharePlay work?
Tap Start or Play to begin using SharePlay. To begin viewing or listening, recipients tap the content's title at the top of the Messages conversation, then tap Open. For everyone who has access to the content, the video starts playing at the same time.
