Does hot glue hurt plants?
I have used hot glue on several occasions but never for plants. That glue is d*mn hot when it comes out and would likely kill the plant tissue that came into contact with it.

Cyanoacrylate aka Super Glue should be safe to use for your pots. I've used it in aquariums to attach plants to hardscape with no ill effects to livestock and plants.
