What scale does LEGO use?
There is no single scale to LEGO building but a few standards have emerged. What is known as “minifig scale”, as the size that most sets use, is typically 1:45 but this makes the minifigures wide in proportion to their height. There is much variation among models of minifig scale.
Can LEGO trains run on G scale track?
The scale of these trains is not directly compatible with LGB's G-scale (the LEGO scale is sometimes referred to as L-Scale or L-Gauge) but many of the train elements can be used for building different scales. More details on the LEGO L-Gauge can be found here(l-gauge.org).
Are LEGO trains too small?
LEGO trains work fine on O-gauge track and I've seen O-gauge trains running nicely on LEGO track.
