Can a boss not accept your resignation?
Your employer cannot stop you from resigning if that is what you want to do. But they can try to encourage you to stay (as long as they do it in an appropriate way). For example, your employer might think you resigned following an argument or while you were emotionally distressed, and will change your mind.
